Salt Free Water Softener
All waters contain dissolved substances. In natural waters,
supplied by water undertakings, a large proportion of these dissolved substances are generally calcium and
magnesium carbonates and sulphates. The concentration of these salts in the water define how hard water is: the
greater their concentration then the harder the water; the smaller their concentration then the softer the water.
In practice the softer the water the less soap is needed and the less limescale forms. The harder the water, then
the more likely at least some of these salts are precipitated when the water is heated or concentrated by
evaporation.
Thus for example: in a kettle used regularly for boiling
soft water the heating element usually remains clean and free of deposits. In contrast, in a kettle used regularly
for boiling hard water, the element quickly becomes encrusted.
Salt Free Water softeners eliminate the effects of hard
water.
Salt free water softener “soften” the water by removing the calcium and
magnesium found there, extending the useful life of water heaters, washing machines, dishwashers, coffeemakers,
humidifiers and household plumbing systems by as much as 30%.
The situation concerning the definition of softening is more
complicated than this note implies. This is because the modern scientific definition of softening concerns the
replacement or removal of calcium, whilst ordinary dictionaries define softening as causing water to seem softer.
If someone has hard water but wants water that behaves virtually like a real soft water, then the hard water must
be softened. This can be achieved by any method that removes or replaces the calcium (and magnesium) in the
water.
Soft water makes a difference you can feel and see, all over
the house. You can also refer to water softener comparison for more information.
In the Bathroom: Your soap and shampoo will
lather better. Your hair and skin will feel noticeably cleaner, softer, and not as dry. And there will be no soap
scum or mineral deposits to clean off sinks, showers, tubs and toilets.
In the Laundry: Clothes will be softer,
cleaner, whiter and brighter. Plus they will last longer. Using soft water and pure soap products increases the
life of clothing, towels and linens up to 33%. Without hard water service issues, washing machines last longer,
too.
In the Kitchen: Dishes will clean up more
easily, and be spot free, without the gray film glasses get when etched by mineral-laden water. Plus hands will
feel softer and look better.
Throughout the House: Water-using
appliances will last longer and run better. Why? Because hot water heaters, washing machines and dishwashers that
using with hard water can wear out 30% faster.
Salt free water
softener provides a better option for all people in the whole
community, because it is devoid of brine wastes that only give more harm to the environment. On top of that, it is
more convenient to use since they require no salt; and water softeners that go green with no salt are also more
cost-effective on a long term basis, considering that there is no more need to buy pounds of
salt. More info on Water softener installation.
Therefore, water softeners that go green with no salt is
highly recommended today if you have tap water that is hard; this is both user-friendly and at the same time
environmental-friendly.
